brakes on 97 4runner
Just had a brake job done at the dealer on my 97 4runner. New rotors and pads in front and resurfaced and adjusted rear. When I back out of drive....brakes make squeaking sound that varies with wheel speed, and only does this in reverse. Is this normal. Also have a metal scraping sound from front wheel on passenger side that was there before brake job and is still there. Are wheel bearings a problen with 97 4runners with 60K miles?

Re: brakes on 97 4runner
Not normally. I have not heard of this problem on any other '97 with 60k miles.

Re: brakes on 97 4runner
You said that the brakes make the sound? I would guess that they may not have put any/enough of the anti-squeak compound. Or forgot the shims??
But then again it just made need a week or two of driving to go away.

Re: brakes on 97 4runner
Bring it back to the dealer and get them to fix this. There shouln't be any noise with factory pads.
