1 Year Anniversary

Me and my girlfriend are about to hit our 1 year anniversary and I have no clue what to buy for her or what to do for her. The good thing is .. pay day is right before our anniversary. I know for one thing I plan on getting her a few roses. I was thinking maybe a usual date dinner and a movie... but i want to make this something special. And I want to buy her something.. I bought her a necklace and a promise ring, which she loves.. Can someone help me out..?

Re: 1 Year Anniversary

Dozen roses in her favourite colour.

Dinner.

Necklace.

Take her for a long drive to the middle of nowhere, and have a picnic at midnight eating oreos and drinking milk out of champagne glasses

All that shit worked for me (but yes, I'm single now, so STFU the rest of you)

Get her one rose, not a bunch, much more romantic that way. Also, skip going out to a dinner and a movie, that's 'regular date' stuff. For your 1st anniversary, it should be special and different than the norm. Cook a nice dinner for her at home, and cater to her every whim; or take Toksin's suggestion and drive out somewhere romantic and have a beautiful dinner under the stars. If you live near a lake or ocean with a nice beach, that'd be perfect. After you eat, then you spring the jewelry on her. After that, well, hopefully you'll be able to figure it out from there.

A dozen roses = 1 for each month you've been together

One white rose = one true love/only girl for me

Girls always get a dozen red roses. It's cliche. By the way, make sure there are no thorns on the stem.

Re: 1 Year Anniversary

Tell her your taking her shopping and you're going to buy her the most expensive thing in the shop, then take her to the 1, 2, 3 dollar store.

Or just get her something that you want, but she doesn't like, then she'll probably give it to you. Then you get TWO anniversary presents.

well when my girlfriend and I had our 1st year anniversary, I took her out to a nice dinner, then after we came home we decided to go for a walk through the park (where I had strategically hidden a bag with wine, glasses, blanket, etc. in some bushes earlier) so as we walked past I pulled a "hey whats that" and pulled out the bag and opened it up to find the stuff. She of course recognized my bag and loved the idea, so we spread out the blanket and drank wine in the park checking out the starts and stuff.. it was a pretty cool night......

OK so that was the plan now do you want to know what really happened? to bad you finding out anyway.

So I hid the bag and stuff, took her out to dinner, unfortunately I had to practically beg her to go for the walk as it happened to get quite cold outside that night. finally we went and when we got to the park she decided it was too cold and we should turn around, I said fine but I have to get something (my bag) which I couldn't seem to find in the dark. When I did find it there was a skunk gaurding it for me... so a half hour later after trying to get my bag from the clutches of the skunk, I finally got it back and we went home and passed out.

Not as good as the first story huh?
