96 Cavalier Z24, Little problems, what are they?

Tonight I just picked up a '96 Cavalier Z24 with 96K, and it drives pretty smooth and it's pretty quick (at least better than my shitty '91).

There are some little things wrong with it that I'd like to know what to do about now before they get worse:

1) During acceleration, either off the line or just at lower gears, it jumps a little bit when switching.

2) Sometimes when pulling off the line I hear this strange click coming from the exhaust, or at least somewhere outside the car.

3) It seems to have a bit of a hop at higher speeds.

4) When it runs it seems to have a little click, but nothing too severe.

If there's a way I can be more specific to see what these problems might be, please let me know. I plan on taking good care of this car because it seems like it rocks.

The 2.4L engine does shift gears a little bit harder than others. Atleast i noticed that with my auto. Im not sure of the clicking noise, it could be anything.

flush the trans, and get your tires balanced this should take care of your hop, and help the slame into gears. The click (if not to bad) is norm, you say it has 96k... that is things just comming in as they age.
