im getting a CRX need help

as the title says im getting a CRX but im new to the import scene. and i want to put a DOHC vtech in it but what do the number/letter engine thing mean such as:

B16A
B16B
B18C
B20B
F20B
H22A
H23A

what do all those mean? and what kind of performance parts can i get for thoses engines? thatnks for your help

there just the different familys of engines honda makes. the numbers in it are how many liters it is.

oh and Vtech is a phone company, VTEC is what you mean.

best bang for buck is the DOHC ZC. i myself am doing a b16 but if you got extra cash the b18c1 is an awesome swap.

h22 in 4th gen? child please you know all the down sides of it?

i would recomend the zc or a b16 if you can afford it..... pretty straight forward swaps......

i want to but in at least a 2.0 VTEC but i'm not sure if they go to 2.0 so what is the biggest VTEC motor?? is it 1.8? or is there a better engine then the VTEC? What about the Spoon engines or something like that are they any good? how much is one of these motors going to set me back anyways? 4-5 grand or more? i know its alot but i apriciate the help

what kinda CRX as the SI motor d16a6 is nice for build ups Dxs dont even have a true mpfi system and should be wired for one and swapped.
I know you said you want a DOHC vtec *can't blame you for wanting the best* but the CRXs came only with single slammers in the US

there are large vtecs 2.2 being the largest youd ever think of putting in a rex.

If you want EVIL 2.0L vtec i'd say get a GSR Jun stroker kit but that will be a ton of cash.

Spoon is the cream of the crop honda parts i run there rims 8lbs per cost me 2K about. There motors are awesome but a race only part and they are very costly.

so a 2.2 VETC with a DOHC is the biggest huh well then a 2.2 it is thanks for the help. unfortunatly im haveing a hard time finding one on the internet if anyone can help that would be cool.

never mind i found one, but what is the difference betwen a JDM and a USDM? is it performance?
