Amp problemo

Well I bought a Pyramid Amp 400w 2 channel, from a friend of mine, now i have a pioneer deck and quantum audio subs (x2 tens) and im tryin to fix up the amp. But the thing is i found the little blue wire in the back of the deck (solid blue) and i wired it to the wire that says remote on the amp. And i got everything else hooked up the right way, now the light for the amp doesnt come on and the subs dont turn on, i had the subs runnin witout the amp for a lil and they worked, then after i tried the amp and it didnt work i tried it witout and they worked again, now the question is, is my amp blown? Or do i got sumthin wired wrong? And would the audio wires have anything to do with the amp light not turning on?

Are you sure that blue wire is remote and not antenna. On some decks the Blue/white wire is remote. Try turning on your key and play a cd. Then go to your amp and jump a wire from the positive terminal to the remote terminal to see if you get sound

i got three thick wires and like 4 or 5 thin wires, i dont have a blue/white thick wire so would it be a thin one? Also I was playin wit my wires enough and i made it so that my radio turns on witout the key i just flcik the same switch for my pedals. But ill look for that blue/white wire, also my fuse is all scratched up, its not blown just scratched. O ya wares the remote terminal?

Hey, I had simmilar problems installing my Sony Xplode amp and sub in my 95 hatch... my problem was sloppy wiring. I was not getting any power to the amp bc the amp has a protection on it that when there is any kind of short at all (even a short runing along your speaker wire inputs) it cuts power to the amp to prevent it the short from causing any damage. I had to go through all my connections and check for shorts. Turned out it was on the back of one of my internal panal speakers. Also, I am assuming you have your amp fused inline, right? Do you have it running to your battery or to your fuse panal? If its on your fuse panal check the fuse there and the inline fuse thats with the amp...could just be the fuse inline blown since you bought it second hand. The install/uninstall could have killed the fuse.
