OEM Timing Belt?

Hi again. I decided to go with Prestone all cars/all models extended antifreeze. I also pulled the upper Timing belt cover on my 62k mi-old car and to my amazement found...a Gates Gripper timing belt! Can anyone confirm my suspicion that these were never used as oem (in other words my belt already has been changed)?
