Door & Rear Deck Speakers

What speakers fit in a Max w/o bose system? I've been told 6 3/4 but I'm having a hard time finding any worth a damn unless they're 6 1/2. What options do I have-other than cutting-I don't want to go any bigger in my rear deck. Also what will fit in the front doors? I want to put a component set in those. Help a brother out and thanks.

Well I had same question about 3 months ago, but then I went to my friends house and I realized after his words that I need 6 & 3/4 speakers around the car. But then I went online and checked out few sites and Seemed like I could put into my rear deck 6x9's. But only '97 GLE and SE for some odd reason can fit in the rear decks 6x9's speakers. In my '97 GXE maxima I have pair of 6 & 1/2 clarions and 6 & 1/2 Pioneers in the back. 1st u have to check if ur model fits 6x9s unless u want only 6 %1/2 or 3/4's. U can put either 6'' 1/2 or 6'' 3/4.

Strange but i have 4x8's in the door and 6 1/2's on the rear deck and the strange thing is i had a bose head unit but didn't have bose speakers and the deck does not fit 6x9's. I got a 94 se.
