Lightbulb Q about Seats

Trying to find out if seats from a '92 hatchy will fit in my '87 Rex Si. Anyone tried before... If not, I'll be trying here shortly and will let you know.

Re: Q about Seats

I know for a fact they won't fit, but there one technique I heard and it might work.

All honda seats seem to share a similar seat pan design (the bottom metal tray that house the foam and back spring part on the top) and you might be able to do that swap. I've heard you can do it to s2k seats with a 4th generation civic (88-91) but it could be possible to do it with a 3rd generation civic (84-87). And it might work for the rex too. My guess is it might so go for it.

Do you know of any reference sites that I could be able to get info off of before I start ripping my seats apart?

I guess I'll take the seats out of my '85 to try the bracket and pan thing.. Don't want to ruin my Si seats if it won't work.

Re: Q about Seats

Sorry about the wait. This is what I read on the 88-91 section.

*mumbles something* I would do the pan-swap thing, but I'm thinking it will take much longer and more patience than I a willing to give it at this time. Plus, the 92 vx seats cause you to sit up higher than I like. Oh well. I have some pics I'll post at a later time. Busy with my day off.
