my dad had been pissing me off for weeks to sweep up out side and ok, i admit i'm a lazy bugger so i think why the hell should i do it? i dont want it done if he wants it done he can do it. anyway one day he wants to take the family out for lunch to a fish restaurant (lochfyne in london if you're interested) and it's pretty much fish only and he knows that i wont eat fish EVER ! so i manage to get out of it and stay at home. im a notcuranal person on the holidays (Vacations in the US) so i sleep by day and live by night. on this particular day when they go out i want to go to bed and just before they leave he tells me, not asks me, tells me to sweep up and i mumble something non understandable and they leave for their lunch and i go to sleep. when they get back i'm awoken by "i told you to swwep up and you bloody well didn't do it did you?" and it's very aggressive but i wait till he's gone and go back to sleep. then i find out he's really pissed off. since being nocturnal i don't see him often on holidays and besides that i'm avoiding him anyway. one day in the car my mum tells me he's really upset that i'm avoiding him and then says that he's taken my allowence away (£50 per month) and some other stuff an i'm like "why's he so upset how do you think if felt when he shouted at me and he wouldnt talk to me and all this?" a couple of days later i try to talk to him and he just ignores me (yeah, really upset, like fuck he was!) he woudn't reply except for a grunt he wont look at me WTF? now i dont get any money i cant smooth it over with him cos he wont talk to me so everthings just fucked up (excuse my language but i'm PISSED OFF) so it's like living in a screwed up house hold. if he ever gives me any money i'm going to fuck off and live elsewhere my friends already offered me a place to stay. my dad an i always get in fights (verbal) and i cant make up cos he's always fucking ignorant and wont talk to me why is he doing this? ok maybe i should have sweeped up and to be honest given another day i would have got round to it. now mum wants me to wash his car too to help make up with him WTF? this is as good as it gets ! sometimes i would rather live with my mate cos he's understanding and all an if i get into another argument then i'll fucking walk out and he'll see the last of me MY LIFE HATES ME!

Yeah i know how you feel, my dads the same way, every single fucking day he nags me about something. I dislocated my ankle and got put in a cast for 10 days, I could barely walk and he threatedned to kick me out of the house because i couldnt do the dishes. The worst part is he keeps my rent just high enough that i cant save up enough money to be able to move out of there, Im basically his slave. The part that really gets me is, he says he works so hard to provide for his family yet i work more hours a day than he does. We work in the same fucking building, unfortunatly Im his son so i get things like 10 times harder than everyone else, according to him I set an example and that reflexs an image of him if I actually do try to talk with him he doesnt listen, all i get is the uh huh and yes whatever thing. Last time i tried to have a serious discussion with him, the second I found out he wasnt listening to me I actually said (and this is not true) "oh by the way, I got arrested for selling crack to school children, my court date is on monday at 11 sharp" his reply was "thats nice" and he didnt even look away from the computer. Sorry if im hogging your thread but im trying to make a point that your not the only one with problems with family, as far as im concerned, if its you biological family you just cant win. As far as im concerned, i will never have a family until i get married and have my own children.

Just do it man... everyone has to have alteast SOME responsibilities..

Just sweep when they least expect it to be done and they will be suprised.

I use to be super lazy but I just learned that its not big deal to do little stuff (as long as its not reasonable of course). I mean really, how hard is sweeping?? Sure there will be just as much shit there in a week, but who cares...
