3" muffler tip???
i'm thinking bout buying a new exhaust, the one i have now is a HKS hi powered, 2.5" tip, for a stock 96 240. will it be any diff if i buy a 3"??? will i gain or lose power??? and what bout the piping is 2.5" pipe good or 3" better??? thanks.

the 3" will be louder, you will loose a couple horsepower at low RPM's.... but you will gain about 10 rwhp towards redline over stock... more of a gain then a small diameter aftermarket catback on a naturally aspirated KA.

Using larger piping will free up some HP like SR said. I'd go for the larger piping personally

getting a tip is like stuffing your pants with socks, its all looks and doesnt do shit in the end
