Not Enough Spark Advance From Distributor

Well The Problem Is My 1993
Civic Cx Now Has A 1996 Di6y7 Engine It But I Used The 1.5 L Intake After Match Porting The Intake To The Y7 Head And I Also Used The Distributor Fron The 1.5 The Engine Runs Good But I Cant Seem To Get Anything More Than 10 Degree Advance With The Jumper Connected Near The Processor For Ign Timing. Does Anyone Have A Suggestion How I Can Get More Spark Advance,or Did I Do Something Wrong In My Setup.

I have a 92 LX and also got a D16Y7 with 36,500 miles from my friend and used my old stuff but didnt have to port match anything at all. The car started up beautifully and runs NICE. You did something wrong. He gave me ALLL accessories with the engine but did need to use any of them.

Your engine probbaly looks like this now

Thats my car after the swap (I painted the stuff of course)

engine is direct bolt on. it even came with a manual tranny but I kept my automatic and put the manual tranny in the garage

Re: Not Enough Spark Advance From Distributor

So far I drive the car at posted speeds getting a feel for the car with the swaped engine. I got 350 miles on a 10 gallon tank / when i refueled i put 8.24 gallons back in .....averaging @ 42 to 43 mpg. Most of the driving is highway with a 5 speed manual.
