125k ok?

HELLO people,i am going to buy a 300zx and i was wondering if it would be safe to buy one with 125k miles on it.thanks for your time

depends on if it was taken care of or not. if it was taken care of, then definitely get it, of course if it is the right price. also, see if the 60k maintenence was done on it.

I would say deffinately... One thing about the Zed32's:

The day you get it, order the Re-Enforced Racing Fiber timing belt. Last twice as long, and will not snap.

Most Zeds that meet their demise is due to a broken timing belt... Or neglegent driving.

But thats my advice... Be VERY careful with that Zed, high mile Zeds are not for beating on. Trust me there!

ok thanks guys ,o and it is a 1991 na model.and i am going to look at it tomrrow and if i get it i will do the belt thing , i am also looking at a 1992 dodge stealth tt but i cant decide which one i want i know the tt is faster but its more money and right now its all about the looks to me so i am having trouble decideing,but probly going with the z.thanks again for your guys info

125k on an NA is not a problem at all. The VG was designed to be a turbo motor and has been beefed accross the board to allow for that. So really the NA version is built to overkill. I've yet to hear of someone damaging a NA VG without being really stupid. And yeah, timing belts are important, but thats mostly an issue with the TT and people running upwards of double stock boost.
