Re: 1969 gran prix, whats the 1/4 mile time?
With stock gearing and exhaust, the 14.1 time is pretty accurate. The 428 GP IS rare. Is it a Model J? Or maybe even SJ? The 390 HP version is a 428 with the 068 cam, and HO exhaust manifolds. Good potential, but a long wheelbase. The undercarraige is very nearly the same as GTO, with an extra 6" of wheelbase. Rear axle, brakes, suspension pieces are all the same as A-body.
A stock 383 RR wouldn't touch it! And once it started legging out on top end, LOOK OUT! 140-plus, all week... |
