MAnual Boost Controller?

I hear so many different opinions on this subject of what boost controller is best for the money. I heard Hallman is the way to go but then I heard the TurboXs dual stage is nice. But im only going to be running 16psi what would you guys recommend?

Re: MAnual Boost Controller?

Ok, I just finished installing my JoeP MBC. Install was very simple ideed. MBC cost me $50 with pipes included.

I went for a test run today. Boost holds perfectly well, but spikes 2-4p psi over the limit for a split second before remaining constant at the preset level. I wonder is that kind of creep is normal considering I only have a GReddy BOV + IC pipes, and a K&N FIPK...

Nearly ALL MBCs function the same way and are equally good (since the entire idea is a very simple design). For the money, you absolutely cannot beat JoeP MBCs IMO.

Re: MAnual Boost Controller?

I have a generic, old ebay mbc. Machined aluminum with the ball, spring, and adjusting bolt. Simple concept, holds boost fine, and was under $20 all said and done.
