Angry please help...think my trannys gone bad

ok i ahve a 93 bird 3.8L v6....and well today i started it up and it is making and ungodly screaching rattling like noise on start up....initially thought it was the idler pulley next to the altenator....not it...it sounds liek its coming from the bakc....so now im thinking tranny.....sounds liek a bad idler pulley but in the bottom end.....when the engine is reved around 3800-4000 rpms it stops....then if u rev it and lety off it sounds like a bad bearing winding down maybe....well after the noise stops and i go to drive it....it makes a clicking noise of sum sort...not at all in a rythm...it is very spuratic....can sumone please helkp im scared to drive it
