16" Stock Rims at the moment.
What's the largest rim size and width I should be looking to buy
as not to have to worry about well rub or turning issues?

well...the biggest i think most of us would go to begin w/ is 18...you could go x9's all the way around, or you could put some x10.5's in the rear which always looks sweet, and i odnt think you wanna go any wider than 9 inches up front, as it will rub.

i have18x9 wide, there cobra rims. they hit in the inside when i turn sharp. i heard the biggest you can go is 19. i have seen 20s on them. there som kinda of problem when you go that big, im not sure what it is. maybe you guys know. also, make sure you have the right back spacing. or they will hit like mine.

Tire choice is really up to you. I've always heard great things about BF Goodrich. Kumho makes some great performing tires, too. Dunlop SP 9000's are also great choices. Like I said, it's up to you. Find out what your buddies have and how much they like them.

My personal experiences: Michelin Pilot XGT Z-4's: Suck for traction and lots of road noise. Last forever, though.

Multi-mile Defender ZR: BFG Comp T/A wannabe's with less traction.

Don't remember what the ones on the 'Tona are, but they are wanna-be Dunlop SP 9000's made in Germany (I bought them while I was stationed there) and they are sticky as hell and have great wet traction...
