EVO 8 VS 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Hey everyone. I was wondering what mods I would have to do to an EVO 8 to beat a 69 Mach 1 in a drag? I know I know the evo isn’t ment to be Drag raced but it’s just a friendly little wager my friend and me are having. He said once he gets his license and his dad gives him the mustang (and Hopefully I get my evo) and we were going to go to the closest drag strip and duke it out. His father re did the mustang in his garage. Just wondering what I would have to do to beat it.

As far as I know, he just restored the whole car, so it should be how it is when it was stock.

As for the Evo VS Mach 1 Stang stock for stock. No contest, the Evo would kill it stock VS stock without the "naawwz" kenwood guy was talken about.

Heres the stats on the Mach 1..
0-60 mph: 5.7 sec
0-100 mph: 13.7 sec
Quarter Mile: 13.9 sec @ 103 mph

Here are the stats for the Evo
0-60 mph: 4.7 sec
0-100 mph: 12.45 sec
Quarter Mile: 13.08 sec @ 105 mph

Lets not froget the Evo is AWD so you got him at launch. Lets not even mention what the Evo would do to it in a road race. Good luck, whenever the race happens. Lets show those American Muscle car guys what a REAL import race car can do.

An EVO would kill any stock, classic Mustang, even the Boss 429 or 428 CJ. Now, start the mods on each and it could get interesting.

for some strange reason it seems to me the import guys think the Muscle car people drive there car stock no one thats into cars will leave there car stock!!!! ...well maybe a few my point is muscle car owners and import tuners love the after market with after market support and some $$$$$ you can make a mustang beat a evo (Belive it or not) just imagine a Boss 429 or 428 CJ with a twin turbo set up just like you import guys like it or a Ls6 with twin turbo(has been done) and all wheel drive for that matter whats going to happen then??? more money makes you go fast not more anger and hate for Muscle car guys and vise versa

Its a shame people REALLY think the 2 Fast 2 Furious movies and games like NFS: Underground and Street Racing Syndicate are really how the import world is represented. All things like that do is make kids think its "cool" and rice out there car with shitty parts. All that does is get them killed, and make people laugh at Japanese cars, because they think everyone with an import, has a FWD economey car like a Civic. Its a shame, and it needs to stop!

its good to fight fire with fire!! we all know that turbo is more effective then a supercharger and that Nitrous Oxide is by far the best bang for the buck what seems to be the problem??? never once did I mention a movie or video game is plan facts more diplacement plus forced induction ie turbo or super charge = more power very very simple the turbo Ls6 will be the come back kid trust me
