Lightbulb 10.75 @135mph

The 10.75 run a the US record for the 3S platform. The world record is 10.5 in a full out race car. This car has a full interior, is running with a shot 2nd gear syncro(on a 3S go figure) on street tires.

Mods (not the full list)
Stock short block, stock cams, DR-1000 turbo kit, DR stage 3 heads, ARC-2 all suporting mods

Two passes an 11 secons pass and then a pass at 10.76

The 10.75 pass and some chatter afterwards 10.75

and before anyone asks, nope not my car.

Re: 10.75 @135mph

That 6k launch all the way to the finish line was beautiful on the 10.76.
Too bad they through him out after the 10.75

Re: 10.75 @135mph

I know you all will say with my age i'm dumb for saying it but i'm going to buy my vr-4...mod it like a mad man. And build it to go 9's. Then i want to buy another vr-4 that just my daily driver...still mod it...but not as much. With the money i'm bringing in i will have the money to do it. Dang...that would be sweet...a 9 second vr-4. And have two vr-4s...that would be awesome.

I owned 2 vr4s for quite some time. Its a good thing

It costs a bucket load of time and money to get into the tens. Since nobody has gotten into the nines yet, nobody knows what it would cost. I wish you luck, but many people with lots of money haven't made it yet.

right, its takes 10s of thousands of dollars to get a car into the 10s, more or less 9s. Plus with all that power, the car will become very unreliable and you'll have to dump alot of money into it just to keep it running. Not only that, you will have to spend tons and tons of time on the dyno and tuning the car. Plus, if you want a car to go that fast, you will have to know it inside and out so dont think that by just dumping a lot of money into it that i will automatically go fast.

Re: 10.75 @135mph

No not at all...it takes time and money to make a car fast. You can put a butt load of money in to a car and not make it go any faster then stock. It may take some time to do it. But if it takes 50k or more i'll do it.

And repairs...i wouldn't be surprised if i have to repair it every 2 races. I hope i wouldn't...but i do know that if you put that much hp in a car dont think it will last.

alan, i have a hotmail account and i want to be a member of 3si.org but i cant...because of i only have hotmail. Igovert500 also has a hotmail account and he got on 3si with hotmail. He said to talk to you. So is there anywhy you could get me on there? PM me.

Re: 10.75 @135mph

won't work.

nelsons car is equiped with no2. The car had no traction. I figure when Matt gets his red car fixed it will be 9's at sea level.
