Venom ?Control Module?

Hello, I am helping a fellow soldier work on his Civic (not sure what year, it's a 2000+ model) and the previous owner installed some parts. Not much, but one thing that has me kinda stumped is a "Venom" control module mounted on the pass. side strut tower and the wires leading to nowhere..

What is this? I'm guessing some kind of ignition component, similar to my MSD's on my other two cars..

Can anyone here help me out a bit and give me a link to more info about it and how to hook it back up if it's useful?? Thanks.

Re: Venom ?Control Module?

OK now I've got it narrowed down to a fuel controller...

Anyone have a link to a site with more info, like how to wire it and EXACTLY WTF it does?

This car only has a CAI and full exhaust, it has no need right now for any extra fuel other than what the stock computer can provide...However I have several projects going and may be able to make use of it somewhere...

westnile-you have a lot to learn. My 'Stang is currently getting better mileage than you are how the hell would a little electric box let more air into a motor?

Re: Venom ?Control Module?

westnile, keep believing everything you read. You'll be just like all the other guys that give Honda drivers a bad name, thinking they have 500 horsepower because they added 15 and 25 percent horsepower every time they add a part advertised to give them those gains....Be sure and put the biggest wing you can find on your car, I hear they add lots of HP and top end speed.

97CivicX- Thank you, and keep up the good work. You've helped restore my hope that there are knowledgable import drivers out there! Once I read the ad for that thing it's pretty obvious it's similar to some products out there for mustangs, gives no significant gain, but costs a hundred bucks and hurts mileage...
