Question Oil Pump replacement

I need to replace the oil pump on my 96 LT1. Is it as simple as removing the oil pan to get at the pump? Once in there what is involved in removing and replacing the pump? Any suggestions?

Re: Oil Pump replacement

all i can say is have lots of fun with this one....
you can either drop the k-member and remove the pan or jack up the motor to remove the pan... a lot of time will be involved with this... just go slow and take your time... you may also want to pike up a camaro lt1 book to help you with this job...
