Re: Films?

48 Hours........................Eddie Murphy has a late 50's Speedster.
A Life Less Ordinary....A gold 928 in the garage at the dentist's house.
A Time to Kill...............Sandra Bullock drives a dark green 356 cabriolet.
Against All Odds...........Ferrari 308GTS and 911SC Cabrio street race.
American Dreamer........A slate gray '64 356SC cabriolet.
American Psycho...........Running from cops, Bale passes a mid '80's 911 Targa.
Arthur............................Dudley drives a 924GTU, plus some 911s in other scenes.

etc...........I cheated. Honestly couldn't think of any specifics. There are a lot of bad 80 movies with Porsches though. There was a trend of having main characters who were rich doctors and lawyers. The movies always eem to start out with them cruising on a california highway, top down, music up in a Porsche, Ferrari, etc.

Re: Films?

How about the 911 in 'Patriot Games'? You know, the one that the terrorists shoot up and it crashes. Yea, well maybe not.

How about the 928 that Tom Cruise's Risky Business?

Re: Films?

You guys are missing the most obvious movie that Porsche was the star in - 24 Hours of Le Mans with Steve McQueen. It starred Steve and the Porsche 917 (not necessarily in that order). This is one of racing aficionado's favorite movies.

Second to that has to be Risky Business with the famous tag line "Porsche, there is no substitute." (but you did mention that one).

Re: Films?

There are lots. i found a whole list of em', but I'm trying to do this by memory. My memory sucks.

It may have been the karmann ghia. Like I said, been a loooooooooong time. As in I was probably 12 and an absolute car idiot at the time. I think one was red and another yellow..............

Ok, looked it up. Rae Dong Chong drives a Red Series V Alpine (though one site called it a Austin Healy Sprite). Sully drives a Yellow 911.

Re: Films?

The yellow one was a 911 with the rubbish editing, one minute it was crashed the next new again, and the red one was as he said a Austin Healy Sprite.
