towing
i have purchased a 1997 grand cherokee 6 cly auto to tow behind my motorhome. some one told me i could do a computer adjustment, to tow others said i had to install a kit and others have told me to just put it in neutral [transfer case its a 4x4] anyone know? thanks

The owners manual should say for sure.
Usually though, leaving the transfer case in neutral will do just fine. |

With a Grand Cherokee, i think you need a neutral tow kit installed, which any dealer can do for you. To confirm, just take it to the dealership and sask in the service department. They'll be able to tell you for sure, and even quote you a price if it's required.
