4.3 TBI Performance

I have a 92 blazer, and I am considering my options. I am looking for more power, and would like to do it for cheap, but I am also consdering a new car. About the blazer, can I remove the heat stove, or will that cause it to throw a code. Are there any other cheap mods I could do to make more power/torque?

Re: 4.3 TBI Performance

One question at a time bro.

get a 1992 CPI votec, not the TBI.

TBI: 150HP
CPI: 190-195HP

Re: 4.3 TBI Performance

If I buy a new motor, I'm just going to get a new car. I don't have the ability to have downtime without a vehicle. And I have personally never heard anything good about CPI.

Re: 4.3 TBI Performance

Other than the CPI injector, it is bullet proof and much more powerful.

I own one and will swear by it.

Re: 4.3 TBI Performance

If I were to consider it, where could I find a CPI for cheap, and if I were to do an engine swap, why swap for another V6.

Long block.

True on the V6 swap not being worth it over say a V8, but some people want a drap in motor without modding to get them going ASAP.

Re: 4.3 TBI Performance

What is the stock compression on a 92 TBI, do you know, b/c I might just slap a couple of turbos on it.
