was all most dun doing a motor swap than problem with idle

soo i turn on the motor and than i hear good news the new mtoor turns on first time. but i look at the tach and its at a grand and win it drops below that it wants to die and some times on it own it well go up to 2400 rpm but it well go up to that really slow. and win i kick on the gas it goes up but not down. what did i do wrong?

check the cam and ignition timing. change plugs and wires, cap & rotor. check for vacuum leaks.

then clean the EACV screen.

then replace the throttle body gasket.

if it still does it,i dont know what to tell you :P

ok well there is new cap rotor and pugs allready all new ngk. what dose the then replace the throttle body gasket. have to do with this problem?

if the throttle body gasket is bad, then air will leak out/in and cause a fluctuating or high idle. I've seen it many times.

ok it still dose it and i have change the gasket wich i didn't think that was wrong any way its all like new. and now it like allmost dies win i push on the gas and it has problem going up in rpm tell about 6k than it goes to 7k fast and i ahve check alot of stuff i think im going to take it to my buddy shop have him look at it
