Thumbs up Ghetto's on the road again... Saturday

Finally... after 4 months of sitting in the driveway with seized pistons and losing 500 bucks to a punk kid... my car is running. I swapped the 1.5 8 valve motor for the 1.5 16 valve motor. I could not afford a bigger motor (in case you were wondering). But it doesn't matter... because I'm just happy to be able to drive the car again. My old engine had 148,000 miles on it and my new one has only 20,000 miles on it. It was just ordered a few weeks ago from Japan. It's got brand new internals, new axles, and a new clutch. After the motor, axles, clutch, towing, and labor... it's coming to about $1,350. I don't think that's too bad.

Anywayz... the car's finished but it's still sitting at their garage. I had B&K Wholesale Engines fix my car in Tacoma, Washington. I work all day tomorrow, so I can't get the car until Saturday. Can't wait. I'll take some pics for you guyz.

I got the motor installed and I'm very happy to be driving my car again. It turns out I got a dx block. 1.5 liter 16 valve, non vtec. 20,000 miles on it. Brand new seals, gaskets, fluids, pumps, hoses, etc. New axles and new clutch... among a few other things. It ended up costing me 1,900 bucks total... which is more than I expected... but oh well... I can drive again. I'll have pics for you soon.
