Exclamation 2001 - Grinding, Rattling, Squeaking

I just bought a used 2001 Chevy Cavalier, 4 door, automatic, basic standard edition. 60,000 Km

now, during the test drive, it ran and purred like a dream.
now when i drove it today, i heard a squeaking whenever i hit a bump, i heard a rattle on the dashboard whenever i hit a bump, and there was an inconsistant grinding noise under the hood. also, after the drive i popped the hood, and it smelled a bit like rubber.

im really fuckin pissed, any ideas whuts causing these?

Re: 2001 - Grinding, Rattling, Squeaking

squeak is probably the struts and or springs

Dash rattle is normal in cavs some rattle more than others.

Burt rubber may be a loose belt and its slipping. It may also be the cause of your squeak but don;t know why its only during bumps, so the squeaking I;m still leaning towards the springs/struts
