C5 Z06 vs. C6

I'm not sure if this topic has been covered, but which one do you prefer?
I ask because the only thing I don't like about the new Vette is that opening in the front (the grille I guess is what you call it). But performance wise are they both the same or does the Z06 have the edge?

Too early to tell, as I don't think anyone, a tuner or the mags have
done a straight up shoot-out between the two.

The Z is more race car right off the bat, whereas a New C6 would
share in HP(400-405) and the Z51 suspension, plus a 6-speed with
3.42's, it would be interesting to see how each would fare against
each other.

The only reservation that I consistently hear about the Z06 is the
lack of a removable top, soooo if you can get a C6 which almost
matched the Z in early factory numbers, I could see some making
the jump for a similarlly prepped C6 convertible. Of course you would
then have 'track' issues with the lack of a roll-bar. Always something.

I've had several Vettes and I'll have to say that I wish the top came off.

I love the roadsters, I've had two '91s, a '94 and a '96, before that I had a '70 coupe (no choice in '70) and an '82 coupe (again, no choice), and then this Z06.

I hope to own another roadster someday.

most of the Z06's in the database have higher trap speeds... maybe this new one wasn't quite broken in yet....

which is lighter? z06 or c6?

Re: C5 Z06 vs. C6

The Z06 is an upgraded performance version of the C5 Corvette.. this C6 is the current base model... If that doesnt tell you whats in store for future C6 Z06's, L88's or whatever they decide to name it.. I dont know what does.. either way an awesome car just got bumped up to an even higher level.
