ff sr20 vs fr sr20

Anyone know the differences between the Fwd Sr20 and the Rwd Sr20? I am pretty sure the main block is different on the back to attach to the different trannies. I know the intake and exhaust is different. I am wondering because I want to see what swaps over from the Sentra motor. Need to get a water pump and timing chain tensioner. And maybe some rebuild stuff in the future, but I dont want to pay the import prices.

now you see why we say the SR isn't the greatest engine for a daily driver in the united states... it really adds up after a lot of maintenance.. and you shouldbe spending more on maintenance then your budget for pefromance parts... always remeber that.

Re: ff sr20 vs fr sr20

well, if I find that some normal maintenence items swap over easy, then all is solved. It seems from a visual inspection that the b13 SR20de water pump and timing chain tensioner look very very similar, after some digital photo comparisons. Other than that. not much else could go wrong. Just got to find state side equals.

Re: ff sr20 vs fr sr20

already looked there. Thanks though. Seems like I have to compare parts I get from Autozone. I am pretty sure the water pumps are the same. About the same price, too. But you get a warranty with the autozone one. Thats why I run parts that are interchangeable. I run a KA24DE alternator because of warranties. Works just fine.
