codes
Can anyone tell me how to pull the codes on a 1999 dodge ram pu?

on my 98 ram you turn the key on and off 3 times then back on look at your check engine light and count how many flashs should be your code if it flashs 5 times then pause then 2 times your code is 52= (O2 sensoers) then it will pause a minute then flash another code if there is one

I have a '99, and it's an OBDII. Turning the key on and off doesn't seem to work; I've tried everything.
I gave up, and went down to Chief Auto Parts (Autozone). They'll let you borrow a scanner. If there's one nearby you, it's the cheapest, easiest way to get the codes. You can buy a scanner for about $120. I started eating paper about two weeks ago....as soon as I can shit the money I'm running down to buy my own! Good luck, if you find a way to pull the codes without the scanner, let me know.

i have always pulled the codes that away dont no why it wont work on ya'lls ???

yes it has the 318 V-8 magnum in it.There should not be much diffrents between the 98 and 99
