b20z or the GSR?? need help

iight i got a jdm gsr in 92 civic hb all the bolt ons and some internals with msd and a lsd tranny, and a vtec controller...i found this 93 civic hb si with a b20z in it. its got 01' LS Head w/ Port and Polish, Crower Titanium Valves, Springs, Retainers, Valves Are 3 Angle Cut, Skunk2 Intake Manifold, AEM Cold Air Intake, DC 4-1 Header, High Flow Catalytic Converter, 2.5" piping, Skunk2 ECU, 98' GSR Transmission, ACT Heavy Duty 6 Puck Clutch, JDM Fidanza 8.5 lbs. Flywheel, Hasport Stage 1 Axles, Hasport Motor/Transmission Mounts, KYB Adjustable Shocks, Skunk2 Coilovers, AEM 4 Disc Big Brake Rotors, Portefield Racing Pads, LS Rims, OBX Front/Rear Top and Lower Strut Bars...so this guy wants to trade his b20z for my gsr..i was wonderin if this is a good trade, or am i gettin screwed someway..i have a friend who was a b20 vtec and ran 12.s all motor...also with the LS head being port and polished and built up and everything...should i go ahead with this trade or should i stick with the gsr that i got..i was planning on goin turbo with the gsr...but i could go turbo with the b20 also, just gotta resleeve it and all that good stuff...at first i was all into the trade..but then researching the specs on the motors, the gsr has more hp but the b20 has more torque...torque can get you goin at the low end...but what about the top end..also with the skunk2 ecu, he says its good up to 8500 rpms, so will that make a difference with the top end?? please guys give me some feedback on this trade so i could get some insight if im doin the right thing..thanks alot

I wouldn't trade if I were you. If you buy someone elses project car you buy someone elses problems too. And if he has all those things and is willing to trade for your car; it sounds pretty sketchy to me. That's just my opinion.

Re: b20z or the GSR?? need help

yea...i feel you on that. i don't know why he's willing to trade. if you had a b20 wouldn't you keep it?? see im thinkin hes trying to trade cuz he cant get it smogged, i got some connection for smog so i can deal with it. so if thats all then im down to trade. i also asked him if theres any leaks with coolant or oil and he said there isn't.

no , definately not , you have alot more boost potential with your motor ... if anything , i would rather mate your GS-R head with that b20 , for a MUCH more aggressive setup ... but nah , just run with your GS-R , you'll love it more in the end ...

No, just because it goes that high that does not mean you make power. You can blow your motor up cause from the mods you mentioned , the motor isn't built to handle high rpm.

I wouldn't trade it in your car anyways.

That'd be dOpe if someone knows how to build it right. I'd just keep your gsr. My boy has a turbocharged gsr motor in his 92 hatchie runnin 11s on stock 10:1 compression!

Re: b20z or the GSR?? need help

runnin 11s...damn...i give mad respect for that gsr...shitt...i was plannin on doing the same thing but funds got low. maybe i'll just keep my gsr, but im still interested to meet the guy and see what if his car is really all that good. im thinkin...if im sure i could get the b16 head on there then im gonna swap cars. also what good does "resleeving" your block do? ive heard about it and don't quite get how it works quite yet....
