2000 integra type R vs. 99 prelude

What would you guys get, a teg type R or a 99 prelude vtec? These two cars basically have the same power, maybe a lil bit more w/ the prelude b/c of the bigger engine, but the teg weighs less...which car do you think would be better for a street racer, i don't plan on getting a turbo untill about 2 years after i get the car, so just basic bolt-on mods...thanks

wow, you should be shot for asking that question......JK JK!!! definatly go with the integra type-r. better gear ratios, more potential in the engine, higher rpm limit, more rare, better looks, better endorsed by the aftermarket, just all around a better car. the type-r smokes preludes off the line. i think the 0-60 for the lude is around 7.5 secs, and the type r is 6.2 or so. so DEFINATLY go with the type r. it would be a crime not to =)

check check, lude looks better (in my opinion of course)
and 0-60 of 6.5 stock with AEM CAI

the type-r is a lil faster stock, and has more potential in the long run..
preludes are heavy..

I would go for the Type R! But good luck in finding one! More rare than a Prelude thats for sure!

Both great cars.

But i'm being as un-biased as possible when I say that a Type R is in a different class altogether than a Lude, performance wise. A prelude is no competition for an R.

But either way, great cars. You'll probably get better luxury options with the Lude. What's more important to you? Speed? comfort?

Mind you, even though the R is much faster, a Lude isn't exactly slow either.
