adding nav from deck? help!

hey all, i got a what you will probably think is a stupid ass question, but i figured its worth a shot!

I''ve worked hard this summer and manaegd to save up for one of these:

and is being installed on the escalade.

Also, my dad purchased a Jaguar XJR with the touch-screen navigation system...in order for the system to run you had to put the DVD disc (what is im guessing the giant archive of maps / voice directions etc.) inside the dvd-reader in the back. Its not like, a dvd player it was just designed for the navigation system (although I have not tried adding in my favorite family guy dvd's in it, who knows what will happen )

So essentially, my question is that can i put the navigation DVD inside the new deck (the panasonic one) and sincei t is DVD capable, will I basically have the same touch screen navigation?
