Unhappy 1999 Buick Century AC Not real Cold

Aloha,

I have a 1999 Buick Century that is blowing colder than outside air but it is not as cold as it should be. My mechanic has looked at it twice now. First time he recharged the freon. No difference. 2nd time he eveacuated everything and recharged and still no difference. If I can get the car up to 60 MPH for a few miles the AC will start to get cooler but not as cold as it should be. On a hot afternoon at a stop light the output air starts to get "Muggy". My Mechanic says the condensor is colder than heck underneath. He said he is going to do some research and get back to me. Anyone out there have any Idea's what might be going on. Oh yea from time to time the AC will get cold but very intermittently and not very often.

Thanks for any Input

Aloha!

It's possible you still have some moisture in the system. Did your mechanic vacuum the system out? Usually, if you leave the vacuum on long enough it will remove all moisture from the system. Joe
