Question h22a rebuild

Hi everyone. I live on the isle of man(where the TT motorcycle races are run and there is NO SPEED LIMIT on the mountain road!!!.
I`ve owed my honda for 3 yrs, shes a 93`2.2 si vtec jap import with a H22A engine. She was already fitted with OLIHINS shocks and lowered about 1 1/2 inches. Also a stainless 4-branch exhaust system, And a DATA SYSTEM VTC810 v-tec controller( which doesn`t seem to do very much!). I`ve since removed the cat (fitted a 6 ohm resistor to keep the dash light out), fitted a 75mm bore straight through one box system. I`ve fitted 282mm EBC drilled and grooved discs, honda legend 4-pot calipers and EBC "redstuff" pads. And a k&n induction cone filter.
However, i have a technical question. I`VE had to strip the engine down for a crank regrind and replace an ovaled conrod( another story!) My question is about the position of the rear( intake) balance shaft when i put the timing belts back on as there appear to be no marks on this shaft!. Can anyone help?
PS I`ve got an aluminium fly wheel to fit when i rebuild!

Re: h22a rebuild

you might wanna try the "Lets get technical" forum for this one.... but shouldn't you mark the shafts when you take them out??? and the mark may be on the gear or whatever (Top Dead Center mark) it is that the shaft goes into. shaft should also be keyed.... ive never seen it so someone correct me if i am facing the wrong direction.
