1989 Corsica Tilt Steering Wheel Removal
Anyone know how to remove the tilt steering wheel mechanism from a 1989 Corsica? Not the handle, but the whole unit.

you gotta get a special tool for it. There's these pins that hold that plate on and you use the tool to pop them out. I imagine you could proly use a punch and a pair of pliers but I havent done it before so I really dont know.

don't even try it yourself, you'll end up breaking something. These cars have a screwy tilt column, and it's better left to a repair shop that specializes in steering column repair. Or find a complete column in a salvage yard, and swap out the whole assembly, just make sure they have the key, the ign tumbler is not user serviceable in 88-91 Corsica's and Beretta's.
