Woofers
let me know what woofers you think i should get...
the DD2512's. the RE SE 12's, or another woofer...im leaning towards the DD's at the time since the RE's are so hard to get...i cant even find a reputable dealer in the US

what price range?
I know you said MSRP less than $400, but what about actual price, since in many cases the MSRP is twice what you can find it for, and in many other cases the MSRP is the only price you can find it for. As for RE, there are several places you can order from. www.visionaryaudio.com comes to mind (their site exceeded the bandwidth recently, it's on it's way back up), or you can order straight from RE by calling them.

2 RE SE 12's are 370 shipped straight from RE. I've heard theese things and they sound good and get very loud. They're not the greatest for even bass because they're very bottom heavy even in a sealed box (That's what I like though). They will beat a single xxx by a considerable amount in terms of spl output. They will probably sound much better then the dd's although the SPL won't be quite as good. I personally would go with the SE's just b/c that's loud enough.

IDMAX is great for its price range, under 300 for an amazing 12, brahma good sq sub, illusion audio makes some extemely nice sq woofers, way to many to list........i probly wouldn't put DD up there because i'm more into sq, and i was under the immpresion that DD's were only made to get loud

Though the XXX's arent as effecient as the SE's they do have a greater power heandleing...greater xmax for more throw and their suspension can handle that xmax so they have great responce...but hte XXX's are just out of my price range...im still likeing the DD 2512's....

The pair of re's will get much louder then a single xxx said straight from RE. The sq will be better on an xxx but still good on the se
