performance parts for 2005

im about to buy a 2005 focus zx3 (just cant afford a 04 svt) and im wondering if the performance parts for the 00-04 models will work on the 05? not just performance parts but also the externals like headlight/taillight fixtures, body kits, etc.?

cant aford a 04 SVT? it should be the same price as a new 05 almost

i looked around and for a new 04 svt it was in the 21k range. my buddy has an 04 and he got a really good deal on it but he said that 21k is about what he paid after it was all said and done. i found a used for 16k with 13k miles on it and he said that its not really worth it. i have a used car now and i wont buy used again.

21k!!!! in 03 they were brand new for 18-19k your dealer is a rip off

16k for a SVT with 13k on it is a nice deal i'd go for it if i was in teh market for a car

thats the closest dealer to me that has a brand new 04 svt. i think im gonna go with the 05 focus se or ses. i looked at one earlier today and liked it a lot. i still pose the question, will 00-04 performance parts (excluding some svt specific parts) and stuff like that work on the 05?

the 05 has a 2.0 duratec or a 2.3 duratec, completely different from teh 2.0 Zetec, MAYBE a couple of parts form teh 2.3 PZEV motor will work for the new 2.3 but im not sure

After much research, I have found out that the parts for the 05 zx3 are not as numerous as for the 00-04. BUT there are parts being developed as I type this. Focus Sport already has products for the 2.0L and 2.3L that will fit the 05. A google search will provide many answers to those who are wondering about the 05.

for the time being all the bolt on parts for the 2.3 will fit the 2.0 duratec as well
