93 ford probe start up problem

I just bought a 19993 ford probe, the 1 owner before me replaced the distrbtor 3 times in ayear. Now it keeps stalling a nd won't start unless i let it sit for 15-20min. right before it stalls while i'm driving it the fuel cutoff light pops on. My father,a mechanic used the diagnositc tool to read the codes, they came up with code 02 and 03, which are sensors in the distrbter. Its an automatic engine is 2.0L.He replaced the cap and rotor, it would't start at all then put old ones back on then it started. If anyone has any info. on this or can suggest something please reply as as possible.
