Re: Help me pick my next car...

The 96 300ZX TT is the least desireable of those...it's down from the 300hp to 280hp. Still nice but compared w/a RX7...it'd take an RX7 anyday

Petit Racing is very reputable...been down there myself when I lived in So. Fla

Re: Help me pick my next car...

Jeez, that's a really tough call. REALLY tough. I think I would go with the '96 300ZX (I can make up the 20 hp with a $50 boost controller anyways), because I don't like the way the 3000GT looks and I don't trust Mitsubishi's quality, and the RX-7's unconventional engine, while extremely cool, is kind of a hassle to own.

Re: Help me pick my next car...

I agree with the above except I love the way the 3000gt looks.

One thing is clear though, no matter which car you choose you wont be disappointed. They are all great cars.

I thought Mazda made their rx7 rotary pretty dependable? hmm mabe in like 97...I would still take the rx7 (barley) over the 300zx cause it looks better, less kms on the rotary, and just flat out more unique of a vehicle....1 question tho, does that rx7 come in atuo, and does the one your buying have it? if its auto, dont bother

Re: Help me pick my next car...

id take the 3000gt vr4 because from all those 3 cars it performs the best and looks the best imo. Also you cant beat awd. but you wouldnt go wrong with any of those cars they're all cool cars.

It is pretty dependable, but you better learn how to fix it yourself, or be prepared to write some big checks. The 3000GT VR-4 is the best performer of the bunch, but it's also the best at frying clutches and breaking transmissions, and from what I've heard, it's a pretty difficult car to work on. The 300ZX TT isn't quite as quick as the 3000GT VR-4 in the quarter mile (AWD launches are the shit), but the price is lower, the handling is superior, and the reliability is better. The 300ZX TT is also tough to work on because of a really crammed engine bay, but besides that it's pretty simple.

Re: Help me pick my next car...

Yeah, it's not that the RX-7 is gonna break very often, but if it does...it can be bad.
