I recently purchased a 92 Civic HB VX w/ 1.5L VTEC-E motor. It has 171,000 miles.... When I first purchased it the first thing I did was change the oil and filter, the spark plugs, air filter.
Big Problem!! The car accelerates great, it is smooth and you can't tell that there is 171,000 miles on the motor. BUT when I am traveling at a constant speed and I touch the gas to speed up, the car will hesitate and buck some times. Then once I start to accelerate it seems to go away. This bucking and hesitation is only noticable below 3,000 RPM.. Does anyone know what could be causeing the problem, I don't want to take it to a garage just yet. |

My friend had the same problem in his VX HB too. He took it into honda and they said it was the distributor and the rotors.

you need new spark plug wires try that than if no try the distributor and the rotor then if that doesnt work try doing a voltage test on your ignition coil
