Question HVAC smell

Anyone notice a moldy smell coming out of the vents after running the AC for a whiel, letting the truck sit and then restarting it? Know how to fix it? Phew!
(I have an '03 Envoy SLT)

Re: HVAC smell

Yes - I've experienced the same in my Envoy and in a Chrysler 300M that has automatic climate control. I saw an episode of 2 Guys Garage a few weeks ago where they highlighted a product to take care of that; some kind of foam that you spray into a canister. That's about all I can tell you. Haven't tried it yet.

Re: HVAC smell

Try tuning off the A/C and letting the fan run for a few minuets at the end of the day to dry out the coils.

The truck may have a cabin filter that may be changed out. My 02 Impala had that smelled due to the cabin filter needing to be changed out.
