Throttle Body and EGR

I have been experiencing a hesitation when driving in forward immediately after starting my car ('00, 3.5). I heard that this might be caused by a dirty throttle body and so cleaned mine with throttle body cleaner. It seemed to help but now only a week later it is acting up again. Has anyone out there heard of this problem being caused by a dirty EGR? Someone suggested that might be the problem.

It makes a little grunting sound - ABS - but other cars don't hesitate because the ABS is resetting......been reading up on EGRs and it seems a lot of cars need EGR cleaning around 60K....mine has 62K.

Re: Throttle Body and EGR

Usually a dirty EGR valve will stick open and cause a lean condition. Sometimes a rough idle or backfiring ocours.

Interesting.....no roughness, just a hesitation.....almost like the throttle cable is hung up or something.........no backfiring either. Who knows?! Could be a bad throttle position sensor too.....
