High oil pressure
I was just curious as to what might cause higher oil pressure?
I'm not sure if it is just the faulty wiring I have or what but when the stock pressure gauge does work, lol, and thats usually when i'm in park, it goes close to the top line and then goes back down to the middle/GOOD line and back up...te he he.... I look through the oil cap hole and plenty of oil is spittin onto the cams and oil changes have been made at EVERY 3000 miles that i've had the car which include the engine flush crap every 3rd change...mainly did that cause there is darker film on the valve cover insides. My car runs great so i'm assuming that it is the goofy wiring. What would be the main causes of high pressure if it were really high?

Re: High oil pressure
Hard to judge anything using a stock guage. A normal motor will peg a 100 psi guage at startup for example. Tehres nothing wrong, the oil just doesnt flow as well cold. If its always high, and it wasnt that way before, sure it could be wiring. If you realy awnted to get ambitious, put a sender in the head feed locaion and see if the pressure is goo dthere. If oil is getting to the lifters alright, then its probably fine anyway.
