Question 99 Suburban interior lights stay on after doors closed.

When the doors close about 30 % of the time the lights will not go out inside the cabin. I have checked that all the doors are latching properly and they appear to be. I have finally pulled the fuse so that the battery is not destroyed. Any suggestions????????

Re: 99 Suburban interior lights stay on after doors closed.

Checks the other posts here for dome lights. I had the same problem in my 99. First check the dome over ride button next to the headlight switch. The first time my inside dome lights stayed on all the time and it was my light switch which includes the dome over ride button. The next time the dome light would come on with out any opening the doors and I found the driver side door switch (GM $7.00) was bad. Dave
