Question 95 Wrangler has problems when it rains

My 95 Rio Grande sputters and sometimes comes close to stalling when I drive it right after it rains. After all the rain we got here from a tropical storm, it will not start at all. It almost started twice, but was shaking more than I've ever seen and cut off immediately when I tried to give it gas. After that, it won't start at all, although it keeps trying to turn over. I've been driving this Jeep for almost ten years and never had this problem until the past several months.

The wires have been replaced. I hate to admit that I don't know what it is, but what will replacing the distributor cap do?

i would check the distributor before replacing, spray some carb cleaner in it and wipe it out real good, after it has a been real wet or humid and see if it cranks right up. If it does then you know that you had moisture in you distributor and need to replace it.
