Battery light, help

hey guys, i just used some engine clean foam stuff on my car, and now the battery light has come on. i checked to see is any wires came loose, everything looks fine but i dunno. is there any way i check to see if itss just a short, and see if the alternator is charging the battery? thanks.

You might wanna check the alternator. See if your lights are dim or not.

its a brand new alternator had installed 4 months ago

Well see if the alternator belt is on right. Did you get some of that stuff on the alternator? It could ruin it.

thanks for the replies guys, and yes the alternator was hooped. but still under warrenty. both labour and mechanical. but i dont why it got messed up. thats dumb. oh well
