Question How do i update e46 tailights to L.E.D.

Are there any modifications necessarry to switch out the rear lights on a 2001 325i to the newer L.E.D.s? I've been told that it is a complex procedure with a lot of rewiring. Does anyone know which parts are necessarry to complete the switch?

"if it aint broke dont fix it" i wouldn't do it as you said lots of wiring and it may cause your display to read lights are out. More trouble than its worth
