Looks like a "UT" model sculped in some sort of clay, porcelain, resin or whatever.
Nice piece but I feel sorry for the guy paying the asking price or above!

So the question is does "en mabre" mean "on marble" or "made from marble"?

If it's a hand-carved marble sculpture, maybe it's worth the money, but if it's just sitting on a marble pad, well...yeah

Oh yeah - I guess that was what he meant...

Probably not without McLaren Cars' permission. If he decided to do this on his own, I think he can, but now that the item is for sale, McLaren may have an issue with it. I'm not a copyright attorney though.
