Talking not my kill but i was in the car

ok about 5 days ago my me and my friend were coming back from a fishing trip. my friends dad(greg) was driving, and so we pulled up to a stop light and right next to us was a 1988 bmw 325 next to us. and it starts to rev its engine and the car we were in is a 1989 corolla bone stock.now greg is an old racer so he can drive...and when the light turned green we took off at frist we were ahead by half car length than the guy stars to pull a way (easy to see why) but he must have missed a shift but we start to move past him. and when we get to the next stop light the bmw just blows though the yellow light like he didn't loose!
