cheaper insurance if you change states
i just got an idea a month or so ago, and i've been trying to figure out how to get it to work. Here's the deal:
I live in and go to school in NJ. Yeah, thats the same NJ where even GEICO refuses to offer reasonable insurance rates. My parents own a second house in the state of Delaware. At the moment, both of them are licensed in Delaware, and that's also where our cars are registered. Delaware insurance is about half what our NJ insurance would be. At the moment, I'm on a NJ learner's permit, which I will keep until I'm 17 , and then receive a provisional license where I will need to buy insurance. ------My question is, is there a way to exchange my NJ learner's permit for a delaware one, so that my license will eventually be a delaware license allowing me to get cheaper insurance rates?----- **I'm able to get proof that I live in Delaware sometimes, i.e. paychecks, mail at our delaware address. THANKS

Re: cheaper insurance if you change states
Why don't you contact the DOT in Delaware and ask them, since you already have vehicles licensed with them, you should know how to contact them.
